Sweet Madeline

I don't have enough time to brag about my sweet Madeline! Honestly, I haven't even had her pictures made professionally since June...last year. I know thats terrible. I just can't bring myself to take her to a cheap place with terrible photos... But I also can't afford the kind of pictures I want. Like the ones my sister takes, in Texas. Dang it.

Anyways, more about Maddie.

Madeline is the best baby, partially because she isn't a baby anymore. She one, almost 14 months actually.

She is walking like a champ and has been since just before her first birthday. I'm calling it 11 months. She is seriously skilled. She took four steps backwards last week and didn't fall. I was impressed.

She loves Ginger, maybe more than the rest of us. One day was was chasing her around with her lease, it was pretty sweet!

While we were in Texas Maddie started saying some new words including Gigi, Baby, Jack, Dog. I was one proud mama then but now that we've been back home she has said everything! I don't think I could remember everything but she says....

Mama
Dada
Ginger
Cheese ( for the camera)
Nana ( banana)
Mo-mo ( more more)
Baby
No!!
Uh-oh
Hi
Bye bye

She's pretty amazing!

She sleeps from about 8:30-9:00, she rarely wakes at night unless something is wrong. Like this week she has an ear infection. This is her third ear infection, maybe fourth.

She is finished with her digoxin ( heart medicine) and doesn't have to go back to the cardiologist for a whole year! Woot woot. I may have previously mentioned that but we are still excited since we just got a bill in the mail yesterday for her LAST ekg!

The girls play well in there room for small amounts of time which really helps me get some things done! Maddie can hold her own so Aby doesn't try to get away with much. Maddie has learned to scream bloody murder even if Aby didn't touch her and no matter what Aby's holding I will make her give it "back" to her sister! sneaky sneaky.

She's a sweet sweet girl and rarely causes trouble.

The only trouble she's causing right now is with her eyes. Our pediatrician recommended that we take her to an eye doctor to check out her right eye. We thought it might be a little lazy. It turns out that her eye is perfectly fine except she's near sighted. She was pretty concerned and said our sweet little angel will probably need glasses soon. We have another appointment in December. I had a feeling our girls would need glasses because their daddy is blind, but definitely not this soon!

All around she is the greatest addition to our family since Abigail ;)

Sweet as pie!

Babcia

I don't think I brag enough about Babcia! She spoils the Vedro girls rotten!

While we were in Texas we had a nice dinner at panera and Stephen and I both ended up with Starbucks gift-cards! She always has gifts waiting on us when we arrive!

She is so thoughtful and even had gifts wrapped to bring home to Aby! The girls love her and always enjoy spending time with Babcia!

She's also an amazing gardener!

Thanks for everything you do! We are so lucky to have you!

Texas

Madeline and I took a quick trip to Texas this past week to welcome into the world miss Cambry June! She didn't get here until Thursday afternoon so we had a fun time waiting on her...

The boys loved the iPad, especially the camera....

They also enjoyed the angry birds! We loved the few quiet moments while they were playing! ;)

We had a fun afternoon at splash! Madeline is a little dare devil! She loves putting her face in the water!

My mom also made some delicious cupcakes to celebrate out birthdays!

We spent most of our time wrestling around with these two! Cambry's gonna have to get tough quick with these two! Maddie held her ground but they are definitely boys!

We also made a trip over to Sam moon. We had a little too much fun there...

We had a great trip and loved seeing everyone!

Summertime!

If you've been wondering what we have been up to lately (because I haven't been blogging, or communicating with the outside world in general)...wonder no longer!

Since March I have been working mon-fri 7am-3 and Stephen has been keeping the girls! Its been interesting to say the least. I can't say enough about my wonderful husband and the amazing job he has done taking care of the girls, the house, groceries, bills...he even pre-set my coffee every night before bed. Love him.

BUT two weeks ago that all changed!

What we are currently doing is bumming around! It's fantastic! It's so good that I have to convince myself that it's not too good to be true but instead it is a wonderful gift from a good and gracious God!

I guess I should explain.

I'm working weekends. Two days a week, 32 hours. I get donuts delivered every Sunday morning and I am eligible for insurance benefits (which we will need them in a few months). It pretty much rocks. Shout out to LCP for being stinkin awesome!

My work schedule opens me up to spending every afternoon at the pool with my girls. We have been taking ginger to the park, going to the YMCA, we made a trip to the children's museum here in town and baking a lot. Like I said, bumming around!

Stephen on the other hand is working on graduating in December. That means 30 credit hours. It's pretty intense. I am just trying to keep the girls busy, and stay out of the way. It's tough having him home all day and not asking for help and for his attention in general but so far he's getting some work done. He's amazing enough to make time for us in his busy schedule!

We have a beach vacation lines up and I just returned from a trip to Texas to see Miss Cambry June make her appearance! Honestly, I think this has been and will continue to be the best summer since I was a kid, no lie!

Ladies

We had a lovely day at the park today!

Can you see Aby? It's a huge open field she was loving running around!

Ginger's first trip to the park in a while. We actually took her twice today, she survived!

We also stopped for ice cream cones! 49 cents at McDonalds, I could get one everyday!

One.

Now that Maddie is one (at least she will be on Saturday), and now that she is over 19 lbs (even though she's not quit 20) and my husband already installed the new booster seat for Abigail (with a 5 point harness) and took out the 'baby' seat...we went ahead and turned her around! She's loving it. Aby's digging her new seat too!

(she didn't want her picture taken)

Madeline's 1st Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Madeline's first birthday! We had nice party with all of our friends that we haven't seen in a while! It was so nice to see everyone and watch them pour out love on our sweet Maddie!

She came home with a wealth of new clothes and toys. Abigail didn't leave empty handed either, that's for sure!

We planned a party at the park but he weatherman assured us that we were going to be rained out, so we moved to an indoor location. And for the record it didn't rain a drop all afternoon!! Oh well, the party went off without a hitch!

My husband grilled burgers and hotdogs and we had lots of delicious cake! Madeline thoroughly enjoyed hers...

Thanks Grandma!

My grandmother is an amazing seamstress! My sister has been keeping her busy with some things for miss Cambry June (due in June) but I managed to sneak in my own request! My girls now have the most adorable matching knot dresses that will fit all summer! Check em out...

Are they precious or what? Thanks again Grandma, you're the best!
