Grease Lightning?
Grease Lightning, have you ever heard it? It's a fun, upbeat tune that I listened to on repeat for a good portion of my childhood. Apparently I had the edited version because I was never aware of the profanity that is included in the original (John Travolta/Olivia Newton John) version. It's pretty disgusting actually. I would never listen to it now for fear of getting some of the words stuck in my head.
Moving right along...
I started taking Abigail to bouncing babies at the library. This is our third week now, we have been going on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are two different teachers and two different routines. We do a welcome song where all of the children jump and clap. Aby loves it. Afterwards they have a big box of balls and all the kiddos get one. On Tuesdays the teacher plays "bop bop bipity" and on Thursdays the other teacher plays "Grease Lightning".
Really?
Is that really appropriate for bouncing babies?
I don't think so.
So, after the first week I thought "surely they won't play it again".
Wrong.
So today I asked the Tuesday teacher if they ever change the songs and she said no. They will have the same songs all summer. So I mentioned the profanity in the Thursday song and she assured me that the other teacher must not have noticed it. I disagree just because of how obvious it is (especially when you hear the song back to back every Thursday). She said she would mention it to the other teacher.
Anywho...
.
What would you do???
If I go back to bouncing babies on Thursday and she continues to play the song after she has been informed of the profanity what should I do???
Take the poll please!
I hate to feel like I'm making a big deal out of nothing but seriously we are talking about toddlers and fowl language.

Piper
"Make the Bible the supreme intellectual and emotional authority in your life; for the sake of magnifying Christ..."
Madeline
Can you believe it?
Yep that's right.
My little Madeline is 2 months old!
So what is she up to...
Well for starters she has a perfect heart. It beats in a perfect rhythm and never goes too fast. Thank you Jesus (in the most sincere way).
She sleeps all night long, in the crib, next to her sister.

She is very fussy in the evening, right when Daddy gets home from work.
She only poops once or twice a week. I'm sure you didn't want to know that but you might want to know that it's perfectly normal. I thought it was quit odd because her sister pooped several times a day when she was her age. Who knew!?! Who cares? I guess I do.

She smiles...sometimes. She even laughed once or twice. She kinda gets choked up though and coughs and sputters around afterwards.
She is over 23inches long, the 90th percentile for girlies born on the same day as her and she weighs 11lbs 6oz (73%). She is a pretty big girl.
She loves to sleep in the swing or the bouncer but HATES being in her car seat unless it's moving.

A few new names for Madeline are as follows...Mad-a"whiney", Maddie (obviously), Madeliney, Map Piper (given to her by the youth boys). Love bug and muffy cuppy are a couple of my favorites for the girls! I must also mention that Aby tries very hard to say Madeline and it sound like this "maa-wyn", it's super cure.
Oh yeah, she also looks nothing like any of these photo's because my camera is still broken!

Not Me!
It's been a while since I joined in the Not Me Monday! fun and this week I was actually looking forward to it. Not because I am proud of any of the following things but because I don't ever want to forget these crazy days! So here we go...
I did not recently discover that Abigail's hair will go up into tiny little pigtails and therefore did not spend about 20 minutes every morning and afternoon (after nap time of course) putting them up!
I also do not let her sit with her feet in the sink with the water running while I fix her hair..and she never ever filled her croc with water and drank it...nope I would never ever let me precious little angel drink foot water for the sake of tiny pigtails!
This is a crazy life and we have very busy days and I am a very busy Mommy but we NEVER let our little girl watch movies, we especially do not put on a DVD while my love bug is strapped into her highchair and force her to sit quietly and watch baby Einstein so that I can do the dishes. Nope. Never Ever.
I also did not serve Abigail's lunch covered in whipped cream with the hopes that she would actually eat something. In my defense the whipped cream was originally for her strawberries...I mean "what?" that never happened!
I'm sure there are MANY more things I could add to this list but clearly I have forgotten them! So check out Mckmama's blog for loads of other not me's!
