Perfect Plan
Stephen and I were going through some old pics for his faith and culture class and we came across this. I thought it was pretty humorous! This is at youth camp in 2001 (I was 13 and Stephen was 16). Its amazing to think that even then God had a plan to bring us together! Who knew...I mean really he had blue hair!!!

Who's Who
My husband and I have about 14 messages on our answering machine and we rarely check them. We get so many calls every week for reservations to Inwood events that we don't bother playing them all. Unfortunately we got a very important message that was never heard and my husband went about his day today as usual...Stephen is exempt from chapel b/c he works some days during that hour and so today even though he was not working he didn't attend, instead he sat in a class room to study. While he was studying he kept hearing clapping and was wondering why...come to find out it was awards chapel! And to his surprise...he won an award! Who's Who. Apparently it is an award given by the faculty @ the college but we aren't exactly sure b/c he missed it. We picked up the certificate and we are now looking for a frame! I am so proud!

The Storm
I guess I jumped the gun by posting how crazy our week was. Friday was by far the worst! I had orientation at school yesterday that ended at 11:30 but since the school has been receiving complaints about students leaving early they decided to keep us in class all day doing absolutely nothing! I ended up leaving school @ 2:00 when I got a text from Stephen saying I needed to pick him up b/c he had a migraine! He has only had one other migraine since we have been married and what happens is everything gets really blurry, his head starts pounding, he cannot open his eyes and he spends most the day vomiting. It is really awful! I called my best friend Abida and let her know that he wasn't going to be able to help me set up so I would need help trying to cook spaghetti for 50! I gathered all my cooking supply from the apartment and headed down and as I was unlocking the door....the tornado sirens start going off! So I had to print off signs to cancel the event and come home to take cover! Stephen was already in the bathroom so that was good! I was trying to get me hammock and lawn chairs off the balcony! Everyone was calling to make sure we were safe not knowing that I was running around like chicken with no head, and Stephen was blowing chunks! We do appreciate your concern, and thanks for checking in on us! In the end my good friend Julie had some dinner for us and Debbie brought over some prescription migraine medicine for Stephen and we watched happy feet! We didn't wake up this morning until about 12:00! I will wait until the week is over to post next time!

This Week...
This week was absolute chaos! Stephen had a 30 page paper due and a sermon to preach and I had 2 test. Everything went well, Stephen informed me that his sermon was great , he got a lot of positive feedback (his class critiqued him) and I did fairly good on my tests (I got an 87 in Peds which is much better than my last test). Tomorrow I have orientation for Terrell psychiatric hospital. I will be going there for my clinical rotation next Monday and Tuesday. To be perfectly honest I am scared to death! I will update afterwards! Hope everyone is having a lovely week!

New Blog
I finally decided to make a blog. Stephen and I will be moving to Kentucky in July and I wanted to be able to keep all of our friends and family here in Texas up to date with everything that is going on. I will try to update regularly but I am not mkaing any promises! Just to catch up with everything thats going on now...we will both be graduating in May. Stephen will be getting his undergrad from The Criswell College and I will graduating from Dallas Nursing and sitting for my LVN boards. When we get to Kentucky he will be attending Southern Seminary for his Masters of Divinity and I will be in an ADN (RN) program. We are extremely excited about the big move but at the same time it will be a huge change for us since we have both lived in Dallas our whole lives! It is going to be hard but we trust that God will use this for his glory and teach us new things about himself !
