Elijah!
I am so excited to announce that our friends Amanda and Shelby are heading to Korea TONIGHT to pick up there little boy! We are super excited for them and can't wait to see little Elijah! Please continue to pray with us that everything goes smoothly during their time in Korea, especially on the flight back (it is about 15 hours long)! Congratulations Amanda and Shelby!!
Cutie
For the past few weeks my blood pressure has been slightly elevated, coupled with a trace of protein in my urine and the headaches I have been having lately my doctor wants me to rest as much as possible for the remainder of my pregnancy. I am not officially on "bed rest" and I don't think there is anything to worry too much about but I figured this would be a great opportunity to do a little blogging! (My doctor must have forgotten that she just delivered a bundle of energy 15 months ago when she told me to rest as much as I could)
Isn't she a cutie...

Sling Recall
Several people have mentioned the recent sling recall to me and have expressed concern about my using a sling with Abigail, and my plans to use a sling with Maddie I wanted to reassure anyone with concerns that the sling I use is not the same as those being recalled and is perfectly safe when used properly! Thanks for the heads up about the other types of carriers I would never want to put my little ladies in danger! Here is a link to the recall notice for anyone who is interested.

I made this...
Tonight I made these yummy pork chops and these delicious green beans and some mashed potatoes ( they were from a box, I won't lie). Finish it off with a couple scoops of Greater's and you have yourself a very happy pregnant lady!
Tomorrow....I will attempt to make these sugar cookies( just for fun)!
And Friday I have already planned to whip up some Texas Caviar for a party we are going to!
Have I mentioned lately how much I love food.

I made this...
I told you I have been obsessing over food lately and when I saw this recipe I had to make it. It took me about an hour to cook, and smoked up the entire kitchen but it was pretty yummy.

31 Weeks (and 3 days)
Today I am 31 weeks (and 3 days) pregnant, and this is whats going on....
- I am completely and utterly food OBSESSED! I spend the better part of my days thinking about food, eating food, preparing food, cleaning up after eating food, and reading food blogs. I have now turned to my husband to help support my food habit, he has been reading my food blogs and helping my decide which recipes I should cook.
- I have gained about 17lbs. I am pretty proud of this because during my last 40 weeks of pregnancy I gained 40lbs! I would have to gain another 25lbs in the next 9 weeks to reach the same weight I was when I went to the hospital to have Aby...it's comforting, but also completely possible due to the aforementioned food obsession!
- I am very comfortable. If you heard me complaining about my bones aching and a constant feeling that Madeline was about to fall out, have no fear I am feeling much better. She has relocated to my ribs and I prefer this, I am aware of this feeling as it was Abigail's favorite place to burrow.
- I have indigestion quite frequently but I have learned to enjoy TUMS. They are like a pre/post dinner mint without the minty part (I told you I am food obsessed, at least I haven't starting eating dirt yet)
- Madeline is about 16 inches long and weighs 3lbs! She will be gaining about 1/2 a lb a week for the remainder of my pregnancy. Please pray that she will be smaller than Abigail. I need a small baby. I think I have earned it.
- We set up the crib in Abigail's room (now to be called "the girls" room).
-We drug out the bassinet and set it up in our room.
-We are relocating the glider to the basement (the only safe place for Aby in our house at this time).
-We have the swing up and ready.
-We purchased a new carseat for Aby (mostly because she out grew it and..) to free up the old one. The old one that is only one year old and in almost perfect condition!
- I have sorted through all of Aby's old clothes and put the ones with the least amount of poo and spit up stains in Maddie's dresser.
Over all I think we are about ready. I have a little more painting to finish and as soon as I get the bedding I will post a few pictures of the girls new room. It's funny how much we have changed Aby's room around this year.
Sorry I have been so terrible about updating you all about my pregnancy it has honestly been a mad house around here. Luckily I am only working PRN for the remainder of my pregnancy AND I will be coming home for a week long visit next week to fill you all in on the details!

My favorite Coat
I am sad to report that Abigail's adorable little petty coat is gone, hopefully not forever.I loved it. She wore it everywhere, it fit perfectly into her car seat. If you are wondering where it has gone it was taken (by accident I hope) last Wednesday by one of the other children in Abigail's Bible Study Fellowship class. My hope and prayer is that they will return it...unfortunately I know how cute this coat is...

Wipe Wars
Sign Language
We have been doing a little (very little) bit of baby sign language with Aby. She has picked up on "more more" and does it on her own while saying "mo mo" which tells us the sign language is probably not necessary at this point. She also says bye bye and waves and our most recent efforts include "please" and "thank you". The sign for please is basically rubbing your hand in a circle on your chest. While we were attempting to show her what to do she kept trying to rub our chests to ask for something. It was pretty adorable...I might also add that she can say "peez"!
The following is a series of photos of Abigail using her new "please" sign to get some of Daddy's pop tart. She is a very clever girl.

Where are my KEYS?!?
Just before heading out of the house one day, I allowed Abigail to walk around with my car keys. She had gotten them off of the ottoman and I was seriously moments from walking out the door. No harm right? Absolutely wrong! I could hear them as she walked around and yet they were no where to be found...eventually, after much searching I found them in the hood of her little coat! Silly Mommy, I should have confiscated them immediately when I saw her pick them up.

I also caught a cute little picture of her disposable diapered booty as she was leaning over...because she is usually in cloth diapers her pants were somewhat "on the ground" all night!
