Texas

Madeline and I took a quick trip to Texas this past week to welcome into the world miss Cambry June! She didn't get here until Thursday afternoon so we had a fun time waiting on her...

The boys loved the iPad, especially the camera....

They also enjoyed the angry birds! We loved the few quiet moments while they were playing! ;)

We had a fun afternoon at splash! Madeline is a little dare devil! She loves putting her face in the water!

My mom also made some delicious cupcakes to celebrate out birthdays!

We spent most of our time wrestling around with these two! Cambry's gonna have to get tough quick with these two! Maddie held her ground but they are definitely boys!

We also made a trip over to Sam moon. We had a little too much fun there...

We had a great trip and loved seeing everyone!

Summertime!

If you've been wondering what we have been up to lately (because I haven't been blogging, or communicating with the outside world in general)...wonder no longer!

Since March I have been working mon-fri 7am-3 and Stephen has been keeping the girls! Its been interesting to say the least. I can't say enough about my wonderful husband and the amazing job he has done taking care of the girls, the house, groceries, bills...he even pre-set my coffee every night before bed. Love him.

BUT two weeks ago that all changed!

What we are currently doing is bumming around! It's fantastic! It's so good that I have to convince myself that it's not too good to be true but instead it is a wonderful gift from a good and gracious God!

I guess I should explain.

I'm working weekends. Two days a week, 32 hours. I get donuts delivered every Sunday morning and I am eligible for insurance benefits (which we will need them in a few months). It pretty much rocks. Shout out to LCP for being stinkin awesome!

My work schedule opens me up to spending every afternoon at the pool with my girls. We have been taking ginger to the park, going to the YMCA, we made a trip to the children's museum here in town and baking a lot. Like I said, bumming around!

Stephen on the other hand is working on graduating in December. That means 30 credit hours. It's pretty intense. I am just trying to keep the girls busy, and stay out of the way. It's tough having him home all day and not asking for help and for his attention in general but so far he's getting some work done. He's amazing enough to make time for us in his busy schedule!

We have a beach vacation lines up and I just returned from a trip to Texas to see Miss Cambry June make her appearance! Honestly, I think this has been and will continue to be the best summer since I was a kid, no lie!

Ladies

We had a lovely day at the park today!

Can you see Aby? It's a huge open field she was loving running around!

Ginger's first trip to the park in a while. We actually took her twice today, she survived!

We also stopped for ice cream cones! 49 cents at McDonalds, I could get one everyday!

One.

Now that Maddie is one (at least she will be on Saturday), and now that she is over 19 lbs (even though she's not quit 20) and my husband already installed the new booster seat for Abigail (with a 5 point harness) and took out the 'baby' seat...we went ahead and turned her around! She's loving it. Aby's digging her new seat too!

(she didn't want her picture taken)

Madeline's 1st Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Madeline's first birthday! We had nice party with all of our friends that we haven't seen in a while! It was so nice to see everyone and watch them pour out love on our sweet Maddie!

She came home with a wealth of new clothes and toys. Abigail didn't leave empty handed either, that's for sure!

We planned a party at the park but he weatherman assured us that we were going to be rained out, so we moved to an indoor location. And for the record it didn't rain a drop all afternoon!! Oh well, the party went off without a hitch!

My husband grilled burgers and hotdogs and we had lots of delicious cake! Madeline thoroughly enjoyed hers...

Thanks Grandma!

My grandmother is an amazing seamstress! My sister has been keeping her busy with some things for miss Cambry June (due in June) but I managed to sneak in my own request! My girls now have the most adorable matching knot dresses that will fit all summer! Check em out...

Are they precious or what? Thanks again Grandma, you're the best!

Things to remember

1. Never be late for an Easter egg hunt. We were about five minutes late to my work today for the egg hunt and luckily they hadn't started yet! I felt horrible for the children that arrived after all the eggs were found. So bad that we scattered a few of Abigail's eggs around so they could get some! Luckily all of the other parents noticed too and the children had plenty of eggs!

2. I never want to forget how much I enjoyed hiding all of Aby's Easter eggs around the house with my husband! We had fun trying to decide where she could reach and what her reaction would be when she saw them all in the morning! (it's like Christmas eve around here!)

3. The sweetest of all to remember is that tonight before putting Abigail to bed my husband and I read to her the crucifixion story leading up to the resurrection in her storybook bible, and when Aby saw Jesus hanging on the cross with his eyes closed, bloody and bruised she said, "shh he's sleeping" and began to kiss each of his "boo boo's". It was the sweetest most precious thing I have ever seen her do! I can't wait to tell her this story when she's older! I hope I never forget!
