Aby Upside Down

Abigail is doing this new thing where she loves being upside down. She will do anything to lean her head all the way back. It is so cute!

Mommy's 5K

When I was pregnant with Aby I decided that the 25lbs the doctor recommends that you gain was just not enough...so I gained 40!!! That's right 40lbs. I got lucky with an 8 1/2 lb baby but the rest was up to me to get rid of. As soon as Abigail was born (literally moments after) I was asking my doctor when I could go to the gym. About 2 weeks later I started doing Yoga at home and after 6 weeks I went back to the gym, Aby in tow and started running. I have never enjoyed running for long periods of time but it is definitely growing on me. I run several times a week, several miles at a time and I am really loving the changes it has made to my body. I can happily say I am back to my pre-pregnancy weight and still losing and this weekend I ran my first 5K! It took me 28 minutes but I am so proud of myself for finishing! The next race is July 4Th, Stephen is going to join me and I am hoping to shed several minutes off my time by then! Wish me luck.

The Mays.

We had a nice visit with the Mays last weekend. We took a trip to the park, watched some hilarious YouTube videos, ate some yummy spaghetti and they got to spend some quality time with the cutest girl on the block. We miss hanging out like we used to!

Food.

Aby is skinny. I know this. She is super long and has a tiny tummy. So, after speaking with her doctor we decided to start her on some cereal and avocado! This past week has been a hoot! She was not happy in the beginning but now I think she really likes it. She has started leaning in to take bites. We all know how much she loves her hands and she will even take her thumb out of her mouth when she is ready for another bit! It has honestly been a lot more work for me and hopefully it will get better now that we have a routine!

Anticipation...

I know several of you are waiting for new pictures and video of Abigail unfortunately Stephen misplaced my camera cord. As soon as it has been found I will definitely post some super cute stuff!

You've Stolen My Heart...

A cute girl, garage sale, gallon challenge and a garden.

If you arn't familiar with the gallon challenge let me explain...basically it's impossible to chug a gallon of milk without throwing up...3 of our (male) youth thought they were the exception! We had fun watching them try!







I have been having so much fun working in my garden the past couple weeks...unfortunately the only flowers I can afford are tiny! I want to add much more and i'm hoping to plant my veggies this week but here is what I have so far...

All in a days work...

When Aby wakes up she is all smile...unfortunately the flash scares her a little and her eyes bug out...


Aby doesn't protest a bath anymore,making my job a lot more enjoyable!






After a bath Aby usually hangs out in her Bumbo so mommy can brush her teeth and what not...today she found her feet!

I can't believe this is what I do all day! How did I get so lucky!?!

Aby at 3 Months

Aby turned 3 months old on April 10th and here is what she's doing...

-She is pulling everything to her mouth.
-She can roll over from her side to her back but screams when she is on her tummy.
-We think she may be teething as crazy as that sounds...but you should see the drool coming out of this child, she soaks the front of every outfit I put on her!
-She is also chewing on things (not sucking, which also makes me think she is teething)
- She loves to sit on her Daddy's lap and look all around.

-She is going to bed more and more often with not so much as a peep.
-I don't even carry a pacifier in my bag because she LOVES her left thumb.

-She is trying REALLY hard to stick out her tongue. ( I swear she thinks she is going it but usually she's not...she does think it's funny when I show her my tongue)!

-She is STILL not laughing, she did it once but no one believes me because it it yet to be repeated.
-She will still only swing for a few minutes but is not pooping in it as much (I know you all wanted to know that)!
- She doesn't mind riding in the car but she screams like crazy when we stop at a red light. It's pretty comical.
-Aby is starting to grip things (like her rattle and mommy's hair).


-She weighs about 11 1/2 lbs. and she is almost 2 feet long!
-Did I mention that she is all smiles and is the happiest baby EVER!

We love Abigail SO much and can't wait to see what she will be doing next!

A visit from Bobcia

Stephen's mom came up for a short visit and a nursing conference. We had a fun time planting some new flowers in our garden and even a tree in our back yard! Debbie got a chance to see Stephen in action at youth group on Wednesday night and even babysit for a couple hours while I got to work at my new job! We could not be more grateful for all of her help while she was here!
